Côte-des-Neiges Park Will be Renamed in Honor of Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King Jr

The City of Montreal will rename Kent Park in the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood in honor of the American clergyman and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr..

King played an instrumental role in the United States civil rights movement. His fight to uphold civil rights and the equality of black people echoed around the world against racial discrimination and the defense of minority rights.
