This year, the beloved Ogilvy Christmas Window on the traditional street corner in downtown Montreal is no more.

The Holt Renfrew Ogilvy stores owners, have decided that the displays which alternated between two scenes – “The Enchanted Village” and “Mill in the Forest” and have been a Montreal tradition since 1947, will no longer be displayed at their store.

The displays collection which is made up of more than 100 mechanical parts, including animated stuff animals, was donated to the McCord Museum, by the store owners, along with a $50,000 donation for repairs.

This winter The McCord Museum is presenting both scenes, “The Mill in the Forest”, outdoors on Sherbrooke Street and “The Enchanted Village”, inside the McCord Museum.

The displays will run until January 06, for more information contact the McCord Museum
